Throughout the years, Mehre Soheila Charity has made significant achievements in charitable activities, education, prevention, and treatment with the support of kind-hearted donors and professionals. These include producers, industrialists, doctors, pharmacists, psychologists, lawyers, managers, and consultants.

The charity’s name is inspired by Soheila Zamani Alavijeh, a woman who bravely battled breast cancer for seven years and sadly passed away on October 14, 2012, at the age of 45. During her illness, she realized that her lack of awareness about cancer, its prevention, and treatment contributed to her diagnosis. Soheila believed that with proper education and awareness, cancer could be both prevented and treated. In her final days, she asked her husband to establish a center dedicated to cancer education and prevention.

This request led to the idea of founding Mehre Soheila Charity in 2011. After two years of effort and obtaining the necessary permits, the charity officially began its activities on February 21, 2014.

Our Approach to Cancer Patients

1. We believe that with increased awareness comes greater responsibility. Our understanding of the hardships, hopes, and fears of cancer patients, as well as the financial burdens of treatment, has deepened our commitment.
2. We know that a significant number of cancers are treatable, yet for those with limited knowledge, cancer is often seen as a death sentence. Therefore, we feel a duty to raise awareness and provide accurate information.
3. We recognize that cancer treatment can be extraordinarily costly and must be provided quickly. Hence, we are committed to creating a direct and secure path for compassionate individuals who are willing to cover these expenses for underprivileged patients.
4. We understand the emotional and financial toll that cancer can take on families, and we are dedicated to offering education, awareness, and support to these families.
5. We also believe that assistance motivated purely by sympathy can sometimes exacerbate the suffering of patients and their families. As such, we emphasize the importance of responsible and thoughtful support to our donors and staff.

At Mehre Soheila, we view collaboration and the exchange of knowledge, information, and experience with partner organizations as one of the primary methods for maximizing the use of resources. Therefore, we have established and maintain ongoing, effective relationships with our partner organizations.

The unanimous view of Mehre Soheila’s board members is that human resources are the cornerstone of achieving any goal. For this reason, meritocracy is a non-negotiable principle when selecting individuals for various responsibilities. This principle applies to all board members, committee members, and operational staff. In addition to this, we focus on continuous educational programs to create opportunities for the growth and development of our human resources.

The board of Mehre Soheila recognizes the efforts of its members and committees through formal acknowledgment and gratitude, and rewards the hard work of its staff in the same way, along with financial incentives.

Thus, they strive to serve selflessly for the sake of God, first gifting themselves the joy and pride that comes from acts of kindness, and then offering hope and smiles to those who witness their efforts.

Mechanism for Ensuring Understanding and Execution of Programs

To ensure that the mission is understood and executed by committees, managers, and staff, Mehre Soheila’s management holds regular briefing seminars and meetings. These sessions foster the exchange of ideas and allow for performance evaluations of the institution and its units at various organizational levels.
