History of Social Work
Social Works
Social work is a profession dedicated to supporting, empowering, and improving the quality of life for individuals and communities. Social workers engage with diverse populations, particularly focusing on those who are vulnerable, oppressed, or living in poverty.
Using specialized knowledge and practical methods, social workers assist people in overcoming various life challenges. The profession formally emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when charitable and government organizations recognized the need to systematize social and humanitarian aid. Since then, social work has become a cornerstone in supporting those in need and enhancing social welfare.
Mehre Soheila Charity began its operations in 2014, and since then, the charity’s social work department has been responsibly serving patients with the mission of “education, prevention, and treatment” for those battling cancer.
